DETAILED ITINERARY.

8h30pm take taxi from your hotel in Hanoi to Hanoi Railway Station for the night train at at 9:30 PM to get to Laocai Station. Sleep on the train.(4 people/cabin or 2 people/cabin on request).

Picked up at Laocai Railway station early in the morning by bus. Arrive at Sapa round 8:00 AM. Breakfast and relax. Depart Sapa at 10:30 AM. go down hill to the valley. Cross Muong Hoa River to get to the other mountainside for 2 villages of the H'mong and the Dzay. Stay the night at a local family in Tavan village. Picnic lunch on the way and dinner at the home-stay.

Night 2: Overnight in home-stay.

Breakfast and leave the family for the next village. Visit the Red Dzao in GiangTaChai village by way of terraced paddy fields and bamboo forests. Enjoy the natural beauty of Silver Waterfall and Rattan Bridge. Cross the river and continue going to BanHo village where the Tay people settle down. On the way to BanHo, there is more chance to see the Red Dzao and the Black H'mong in Supan village. Spend the night in BanHo village at a Tay Family. Picnic lunch on the way and dinner at the home-stay.

Night 3: Overnight in home-stay.

Get up early in the morning for fresh air and peaceful daily life of the people. Breakfast and leave the village for a hard day. Walk uphill to a smallest and almost untouched village of the Red Dzao (Namtoong). Go further to another village on the same side of of the mountain range to see the Xa Pho ethnic group in Nam Ken. Get down to the river and go up to My Son to visit the Xa Pho again. Spend the night in Thanh Phu village at a Tay family. Picnic lunch on the way and dinner with the local family.

Night 4: Overnight in home-stay.

Breakfast at Thanh Phu village. Walk back to Su Pan village where to take a jeep back to Sapa. On the way back, visit the ancient stone circle (stones decorated with ancient carvings which are said to have described the life of the people lost in the mists of prehistory) Check in hotel. Lunch at Su Pan and dinner in Sapa.

Night 5: Overnight in hotel.

Breakfast, visit village of the black H'mong (Catcat), walk around visiting people in the village and the hydroelectric power station built by the French in the old days. Back town have lunch and check out hotel, free to explore the town until take bus to get to Laocai Station for the night train back to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi around 5.00 AM. The end of the tour.

Night 3: Overnight on the train Sleep on the train.(4 people/cabin or 2 people/cabin on request).
