HALONG BAY – QUAN LAN ISLAND KAYAKKING ( 3 Days/ 2 Nights ): Quan Lan Island stretch toward East – West from the foot of Vân Ðon Range to the Gót Mount with many high mountains to the east barring waves and winds, protect the villages. The island is situated on an important navigation route that connects China, Japan, Thailand and Philippines to Vietnam. Along two sides of the island are tens kilometers of sand beaches. This is the endless resource for glass making which the sea gives to man and it is also the extremely interesting tourism

 

DETAILED ITINERARY.

 

DAY 1: HANOI – HALONG BAY CRUISE (L, D)

Depart for Halong Bay in a private air conditioned vehicle. Transfer to a shared wooden junk for a cruise among the 3, 000 spectacular limestone islands that rise from the emerald green waters of Halong Bay. The boat is one of the more traditional varieties that sail through the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch on board while the captain heads out for the horizon. Cruise the magnificent Ha Long Bay with breathtaking scenery and thousands of limestone outcrops. There will be time to enjoy swimming out towards one of the hidden coves or sandy beaches.

Overnight on board or Bungalow on the beach.

 

DAY 2: QUAN LAN ISLAND EXPLORATION AND KAYAKING (B, L, D)

After breakfast, explore desolate Quan Lan Island with its stunning deserted sandy beaches. Quan Lan has lots of history dating back to the Mongols. Its’ people are friendly and way of life relaxed. There are many things to do on the island. There are five pristine beaches to discover, the best being Son Hao beach, (7km from the main village Cai Bau), with incredible white sands. Optional cycle on a flat single lane country road to the northern village on the island, Minh Chau. There are also three 7km trekking routes – along the spine of the island on a great footpath over the mountains to the South, along a rocky coastline facing the sea, or more gently along a jeep trail on the opposite coast facing inland.

Return to the boat for lunch and set sail to kayak off the Islands close to Quan Lan. Kayak to Jumping Monkey, Cong Dong and Cong Tay Islands. (4hours kayaking, 3 hours Quan Lan explore)

Dinner and overnight on Junk or Bungalow on the beach.

 

DAY 3: CAVES – KAYAKKING  AND HALONG BAY CRUISE  - HANOI (B, L)

After breakfast, cruise to Trong and Trinh Nu caves. Paddle for three hours among the karts scenery near to the caves. Trong and Trinh Nu caves can also be explored by foot. They are seldom visited by tourists, and are therefore truly off the beaten path. Return to the boat for lunch on board. Back Ha Long city at noon time. Transfer to Hanoi.
